“There is always one summer that changes you …”*

Josh Whitehead loved the last day of school because it meant summer had arrived and Camp Wewa was waiting for him. Under the giant oaks, Josh spread smiles and laughter to fellow campers and counselors alike and savored every day at Wewa. From plunging in the pool, to launching arrows during archery, to playing tug-of-war with his cabinmates, to singing songs during campfire – he loved it all. It was his time to reunite with old friends and to make new ones, to leave the real world behind and jump feet first into the magical days of summer camp.

With the JW Camp Fund, we want to spread Josh’s love for Camp Wewa to deserving campers – to include ALL who will benefit from the special experience that is sleepaway camp where barriers melt, opportunities open, and excellence is realized. Where the bonds formed are so strong, that the love follows you home and stays with you throughout the year.

Do you know a young person, 10-14 years-old, who deserves this opportunity? The JW Camp Fund is ready to help those in need of financial assistance to send these children to Camp Wewa for a 5-night session at no charge.
